Stress and Depression

What is stress? Well, stress is primarily a physical response. When stressed, the body thinks it is under attack and switches to 'fight or flight' mode, releasing a complex mix of hormones and chemicals such as adrenaline, cortisol and norepinephrine to prepare the body for physical action.

On the other hand, depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed.

Both of this can affect anyone at any age around the world regardless of background or gender. Without curing it by seeking help, it could lead one into probably committing crimes, involving in drugs or even worse, taking his/her own life.

The best way to overcome such pressure is by letting loose of ourselves and start sharing problems to whom we trust, for example our family or friends. People facing these problems are not to be taken lightly as we don't know what's running through their mind.

In addition regarding to this, to those reading this who are facing the above problems, I gladly suggest you to give a try listening to this song by 'Logic, Alessia Cara and Khalid' titled "1-800-273-8255". This song was named after the depression hotline in the U.S.. The main objective of this song is to help people out by telling them that there are so many ways to cure their pain no matter how hurtful it is rather than to end their lives.
