Running Man was classified as an "urban action variety"; a genre of variety shows in an urban environment. The MCs and guests were to complete missions at a landmark to win the race.The show has since shifted to a more familiar reality-variety show concept focused on games. It has garnered attention as being the comeback program for Yoo Jae Suk, the main MC of the program, after leaving Good Sunday's FAMILY'S OUTING in February 2010.

Since its aired in 2010 , I constantly watched and enjoy this shows until now. In my opinion, for those who never watched this shows should try and evaluate it this Korean program. They might don't know how to communicate in English but during entire shows, they showed their culture very well especially respecting each other ( seniority & junior )..
